Shed Hunting

Anyone planning on getting out in the park or elsewhere?  I think JT and I are going to be in Bsall on Sunday, we'll be doing some cutting.  But we'll keep our eyes open for bone.

i spent all weekend lookin but only came up with 1 small one. .  i have seen a couple larger bucks still packin both sides but i have seen more sportin one or none. .  so i will keep the search on every chance i get till spring green up and turkey season hits. .  i told jon i would come up and give him some pointers on searchin for sheds but he told me i couldn't keep what i found unless it was small. . so he can sit and pivot on what he finds ya bone hoarder!. . sit and pivot jon, sit and pivot. .

plans are to shed hunt all weekend. .  hoping to find a bunch (hopefully get myself around 10 of the yr). . had a large body buck in my brush lot 2 morning ago sporting 2 bloody holes where antlers used to ride. . to anyone else lookin this weekend good luck except jon. .  he can still sit and pivot on his finds. . 

Me and Jt went out for 4 hours yesterday and found this little guy.  We also found to dead bucks missing their antlers and kicked up 2 big bucks that still had both sides.  I've been reading in deer and deer hunting about how, why, and when bucks shed there antlers.  Everything i have seen so far seems to be the exact opposite of what the "experts" say.  Apperently the more dominant a buck is, the more he breeds, which affects his testoterone, which in turn, makes him cast his antlers sooner.  Well as you can see the big boys still have their bone and the little guys are droppin em, so there goes that theory
