Meet Us

Kevin

Born and raised in Rochester, NY Kevin as well as his brother JT was exposed to the outdoors as soon as he could walk. Some of his earliest memories are turkey hunting on his birthday and stomping through brush piles for rabbits. This carried all the way to college where he attended the College of Environmental Science and Forestry and graduated with a degree in environmental forest biology. He knew he wanted to make a living from his passion. Now known as the “silent partner,” Kevin is working in NYC for a few years helping to protect marine habitat and species. This has given him an opportunity to do some exciting saltwater fishing and Long Island hunting, something that brings an added dimension to NEO. However he does plan to eventually get back home to upstate New York to pursue his true love of the northeastern
hardwood. When Kevin does make it back upstate, he is the regular camp chef. Besides hunting, he loves to cook, and can bring a fine dining experience right to the camp table. Like the old saying goes “if you don’t like venison, you just haven’t had it cooked the right way.” There is just nothing better than a table full of friends after a long days hunt and fresh backstraps being served while they share the stories of the woods. Each guy in NEO brings a different personality and different approach to hunting, but maybe that’s why these guys work so well together…

JT aka Jtizzle aka King Junior

Born to hunt and fish, I love the outdoors and everything that comes with it. Raised in an outdoors family I feel I’m the luckiest guy in the world. Don’t be fooled though it’s not all about the fish or game, I have some good laughs with the guys, and come November the bucks aren’t the only ones in the rut if you know what I mean (hello ladies). There are only two places you’ll find me during this time, the woods or the bar. Things I am known for around camp are my famous wake up moans and rubbing my face into a pillow, couch cushion or whatever I can get my hands on. I’m sure the guys will get it on video eventually. Also I like to tell people to cook then take over because I can do it better, and I’ve been known to break out into spontaneous dance moves and attempt to sing. My real dream is this website right here, to hunt fish everyday and get just enough money to get by doing it. Hope you enjoy! I CANT WAIT!! Oh, and just to let you know… I taught LA everything he knows about hunting but he is a better fisherman!! And yes, Kevy is my older better looking brother.

Steve

Steve Esler – Resides in Amherst, NY just north of Buffalo where he Coaches Track and Field at UB. A native of Rochester, NY, ‘Es’ has been living in Buffalo for the last ten years. He was raised an outdoorsman but that only included camping, hiking and fishing through his adolescence. Because of his association with athletics, he was not able to get into hunting until he was 22 years old, but has been addicted ever since.
He’s known as a ‘magazine hunter’ because he reads all the literature on hunting and fishing and tries to apply it to his time in the field. His tactics have paid off for him over the course of his hunting career with the two biggest bucks of the whole Northeastern Outdoor crew’s history. Bass fishing is his next favorite outdoor activity outside of deer hunting, but 12 months out of the year this guy is thinking brown fur and antlers.
Living in Erie County he hunts some properties that none of the other guys hunt and he’s really looking forward to the upcoming 2009 Whitetail Season now that he has access to more and better land in Western New York. “I’ve got two solid properties that I’m going to be hunting this year, one 70 acre hardwood parcel in Alden, NY and large tract of public land in southwest Genesee County. I’m hoping to get the Rochester guys jealous with all deer I see this year by my house. Hopefully we’ll get a couple down on camera.”

Jon

I’ve been on this planet for 28 years and have been hunting or fishing for about sixteen of them. With my grandfather’s guidance and knowledge, I developed a love and understanding for the great outdoors. I have known the team from Northeastern Outdoors all my life, and there is nothing I enjoy more than the camaraderie and brotherhood we have. I couldn’t ask for better group of guys to share my experiences with. I was just recently given the gift of my first child, a future female outdoorswoman, Kendal Grace. I haven’t been blessed enough to put a trophy on the wall yet, but when I do, I hope it’s on film for all you guys to enjoy! I can’t wait

Jmac aka LA

Mystery man, stay tuned.
